Software Engineers and Programmers
Engineering positions require competence in C++ or Java programming, good understanding of object-oriented and component
software construction and experience with Internet programming, technology and standards. Programming positions require
demonstrated skills in C++ or Java or scripting languages.
Senior Software Engineer
(7) or more years of experience as a distinguished individual contributor or team leader, master-level programming skills,
guru.
Software Engineer
(2) or more years of professional software development experience, University degree in Computer Science.
Programmer
We know that many talented programmers come from non-traditional backgrounds. If you possess exceptional ability
and proven programming skills there may be an opportunity to use your skills at
QNET. Some programming jobs may be available for specialists in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, JavaScript, and OmniMark.
QA Specialists
QNET uses disciplined software development processes where Quality Assurance is central. We are looking for people with
formal software testing experience.
Software QA Engineer
(2) or more years of professional software development experience, Experience with testing techniques and test automation. University degree in Computer Science.
Software Tester
Requires the ability to test software methodically and to write test reports.
Webheads
We are looking for those usual people, possessing two equal halfs to their brain who unite design skills, flair, cyber-joie de
vivre with the analytical stuff needed to create web sites that work.
Web Master
Proven abilities in web design as evidenced by work on commercial or major intranet web sites. Expert knowledge of web-related technologies such as n-tier architectures, Active/Java Server Pages, ActiveX, XML, XSL, CGI, Applets as well as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Web Designer
We know that many talented web designers are self-taught. If you possess exceptional ability and proven web design skills (including W3C-compliant HTML and CSS) come talk to us.
Technical Writers
QNET recognizes that clearly-written technical documentation is a critical component of quality software. This position requires
a minimum of (2) or more years of professional technical writing experience and a University degree. Experience producing
documentation in SGML would be very appreciated.
Project Managers
Project Managers are responsible for day-to-day guidance of software projects using
QNET's Project Management philosophy. (7) or more years of professional experience in software is required, along with high technical competence and
managerial skill as demonstrated through leadership of multiple projects, superior communication and people skills. Some
positions may require frequent travel.
Architects
Our most senior technical position, Architects combine breadth and depth of experience, business acumen, and outstanding
leadership skills with the ability to design and oversee the implementation of major software systems. (12) or more years of
professional experience in software with extensive track record of leading major projects and recognition as a technical
authority is required.
Consulting Opportunities
QNET Software Engineering Research Laboratory is seeking professionals to join our fast growing company. To qualify you
should either have an academic background or at least three years experience with at least two of the following skills:
